When Starting a Vehicle Engine Was Not So Easy…

Have You Ever Tried To Start a 1918 Mack Truck ?

Someone discovered a pretty vintage 1918 Mack Truck covered by vegetation.  Going back in those years, the only way to start a vehicle was the crank handle. Well, this was not the most comfortable or easy way to start an engine and looking at the videos below, it was also pretty discouraging.

We read somewhere that the self-starter was invented later by Henry Leland, who made the Cadillac, because one of his friends died while he was turning the crank to start the engine of his car. The handle jumped back and hit him on the head…

Anyway, take a look at these videos below and try to think at what would be to start a car in this way today 😉
