The TRUE story of a 1947 Ford Sportsman Convertible Woody

One family owned 1947 Ford Super DeLuxe Sportsman Convertible Woody…

Before of the II World War, American automobile industries were adapted in order to produce airplanes, tanks, and other machines to support the war operations.

After the end of the war, with the intent to design and manufacture new cars which America was hungry for, the Automotive industry tried to simply update pre-war models adding some special features to capture the consumers interest.

One of the car created in this period was the Ford Super DeLuxe Sportsman Convertible Woody.

Not many of this special Sportsman’s were built back in time. Today, very few examples are alive.

Here is the true story of one of them, a original 1947 Ford Super DeLuxe Sportsman Convertible Woody that was bought new at Seller’s Ford dealership in Detroit by George Rock Sr., and since then it has been owned by the same Rock family.
